MIGRATION RIGHTS

EARTH DAUGHTERS

Why We Support Migration Rights

At Earth Daughters, we recognize that migration rights are deeply connected to climate justice, environmental protection, and the well-being of Indigenous communities. Climate change and environmental degradation are increasingly forcing people from their homes, creating climate displacement and threatening basic human rights.

Supporting migration rights is not only about protecting individuals. It is about addressing the root causes of displacement, including environmental destruction, resource exploitation, and systemic inequities. Indigenous peoples and frontline communities are often the first to experience these impacts, yet they are frequently excluded from decision-making processes that affect their lands and futures.

Climate & Environment Migration is often a direct result of climate change and environmental degradation impacting communities.
Human Rights Supporting migration ensures people can move safely, claim their rights, and live with dignity.
Indigenous Frontlines Indigenous and frontline communities face the earliest impacts of displacement and environmental injustice.
Justice & Resilience Protecting migration rights strengthens climate resilience, Indigenous sovereignty, and equitable stewardship of the Earth.

FUNDS FOR DEPORTED ZAPOTEC MAN

Your donation is more than support. It is protection, care, and survival.

When systems fail our people, we show up for one another.

Claudio Tadeo (Zapotec) was unknowingly deported without his family’s knowledge. For two months, his family in Oaxaca had no idea where he was after he went missing. Through a missing person report, they recently located him in Monterrey, Mexico, where he was found in critical condition, recovering from a stroke.

His family has still not received answers from U.S. authorities, and Mexican officials told them he was simply dropped off with other deportees at Monterrey airport.
