Through this community-led humanitarian initiative, 30 tons of essential supplies were delivered to families across Chocó, Colombia, helping address urgent needs identified by communities on the ground.
The collective effort reached 10 communities across the region, expanding access to critical resources for families experiencing difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
The response was guided by our Director of Indigenous Education, working alongside grassroots organizations with direct knowledge of the communities and their priorities.
Trusted local organizations helped coordinate the delivery of supplies, connect with families, and ensure assistance reached communities through established relationships and local networks.
Rather than imposing outside solutions, the initiative centered the experience, knowledge, and leadership of people already organizing within Chocó.
The delivery demonstrates what is possible when community leaders, grassroots organizations, and supporters work together to mobilize resources with dignity, accountability, and care.
