OUR MISSION

Our mission is to empower transnational Indigenous women and youth through transformative mutual aid and bold climate justice initiatives, driven by Indigenous leadership.

OUR HISTORY

Earth Daughters rose on June 23, 2020, through collective action rooted in Indigenous strength and solidarity. In the wake of a devastating 7.5-magnitude earthquake in Oaxaca’s Sierra Sur, they launched their first mutual aid campaign—quickly mobilizing support and rebuilding 200 homes for those most affected.

Since that pivotal moment, Earth Daughters has become a driving force for grassroots change, advancing mutual aid initiatives that honor Indigenous sovereignty and knowledge. From disaster response to confronting the ongoing impacts of climate change, they remain steadfast—walking alongside communities with care, courage, and sacred responsibility.

Our Pillars

Mutual Aid

We practice mutual aid as collective care—not charity. In times of crisis, we mobilize rapidly to provide housing, food, healthcare, and support rooted in trust and solidarity amid disaster and systemic neglect.

Climate Justice

We confront climate change as a justice issue. We address its unequal toll on Indigenous communities by challenging root causes—colonialism, extraction, and displacement—while fostering resilience, stewardship, and equitable recovery.

Indigenous Leadership

We center Indigenous knowledge and sovereignty by following the leadership of Indigenous women, elders, and youth. We ensure that solutions come directly from the communities most impacted.

Global Advocacy

We amplify local struggles on global stages—lifting Indigenous voices, challenging extractive systems, and pushing for systemic change in land rights, climate justice, and self-determination.
